1. Sponsor

The 13 days of BOOtstrapping sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by [Sponsor’s legal name], [Sponsor’s mailing address] (the “Sponsor”), which runs Is It A Holiday Movie? at isitaholidaymovie.com (the “Site”). Questions about the Sweepstakes: team@isitaholidaymovie.com.

2. Eligibility

The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 or older, or the age of majority where they live if that is older, at the time of entry. Employees of the Sponsor, and the immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of the Sponsor and its employees, are not eligible. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and is void where prohibited.

3. Entry period

The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on Monday, October 19, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on Saturday, October 31, 2026 (the “Entry Period”). The Sponsor’s servers are the official clock for the Sweepstakes.

4. How to enter

To enter, create a free account on the Site and confirm your email address. Signed in, you earn a piece of popcorn for each of the following, and during the Entry Period each piece of popcorn is also one entry:

• answering a criteria question about a movie for the first time; and
• casting a verdict vote on a movie for the first time.

Entries are subject to these limits:

• Daily limit. You can earn up to 50 entries from answers and votes each day. Days run from midnight to midnight ET. Answers and votes beyond the limit still earn popcorn but not entries.
• Changes and removals. Changing an answer or vote does not earn another entry. Removing an answer or vote removes its entry. Only answers and votes still saved on your account when entries are counted for the drawing are eligible.
• Confirmed email. Only accounts with a confirmed email address earn entries.
• One account per person. If a person uses more than one account, the Sponsor may void the entries of all of them.

The Site shows your current entry count on the event page. That count is for your information; the Sponsor’s records are final.

5. Referral bonus

Each signed-in entrant gets a personal referral link during the Entry Period. You earn 25 bonus entries for each Qualified Referral, for up to 10 Qualified Referrals (250 bonus entries in total). A referral is a Qualified Referral when all of the following are true:

• A new account is created during the Entry Period after following your referral link, and signs in through the link within 3 days of being created.
• That account confirms its email address.
• That account earns 20 pieces of popcorn before the Entry Period ends. The daily limit on entries does not apply to this count.
• That account is held by a different person from you and is not disqualified under these rules.

Each account can be referred only once. Referring yourself, or referrals between accounts held by the same person, do not count. Bonus entries are not subject to the daily limit. When you share your link, you must make clear that you can earn entries in a sweepstakes from it, for example by including #sweepstakes.

6. Answering in good faith

Entries are for honest answers about the movie being asked about. Answering without regard to the movie, such as giving the same answer to every question (“Christmas tree-ing”), is not a valid way to enter.

To check this, a small number of questions on the Site are control questions: questions about a specific movie with one clearly correct answer, such as whether a movie that takes place on October 31 is set on October 31. Control questions are not marked, and they otherwise work like any other question. If an entrant answers at least 3 control questions during the Entry Period and gets more than half of them wrong, their account is disqualified and all of its entries, including referral bonus entries, are void.

7. Prize

One (1) prize will be awarded: a $100 Criterion gift card delivered by email (approximate retail value: $100). The total approximate retail value of all prizes is $100. The gift card is subject to the issuer’s terms and conditions. The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash, and no substitution is allowed except that the Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize is unavailable. Any taxes on the prize are the winner’s responsibility.

8. Drawing and odds

On or about Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the Sponsor will draw one winner and [number of alternates] alternates, in order, at random from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. Each eligible entry is one chance, so an entrant’s chance of being drawn is their number of eligible entries divided by the total number of eligible entries. The drawing will use [the random seed and how it is published before the Entry Period ends], so that anyone can check the result. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

9. Winner notification

The potential winner will be notified by email at the address on their account. They must reply within 7 days of the notification email being sent. The Sponsor may require the potential winner to sign a declaration of eligibility and, where lawful, a publicity release, and to return it within the same 7 days. If the potential winner does not respond in time, cannot be reached, is found ineligible, or does not comply with these rules, they forfeit the prize and the next alternate becomes the potential winner. If no alternate can be confirmed, the prize will not be awarded.

10. Disqualification

The Sponsor may review entries before awarding the prize, and may disqualify any entrant and void their entries if it finds that they:

• used automated, scripted, or bulk means to answer, vote, or create accounts;
• answered without regard to the movie, as described in section 6;
• used more than one account, or referred themselves;
• tampered with, or tried to tamper with, the Sweepstakes or the Site; or
• otherwise broke these rules or the Terms of Service.

11. Publicity

The Sponsor will publish only the winner’s first name and state, and only with the winner’s consent where the law requires it.

12. Release and limitation of liability

By entering, entrants release the Sponsor and its owners, employees, and agents from any liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from taking part in the Sweepstakes or from accepting or using the prize. The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries, or for technical failures of any kind, including failures of the Site, servers, networks, or email.

If the Sweepstakes cannot run as planned because of tampering, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause beyond the Sponsor’s control that affects its fairness or integrity, the Sponsor may cancel, suspend, or modify it, and award the prize at random from the eligible entries received before the problem arose.

13. Disputes and governing law

These rules are governed by the laws of [governing state], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from the Sweepstakes will be resolved individually, without resort to any class action, in the courts located in [venue].

14. Privacy

Information collected for the Sweepstakes is used to run it, as described in the Privacy Policy.

15. Winner list

For the name of the winner, email team@isitaholidaymovie.com with the subject “13 days of BOOtstrapping winner” within 60 days after Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
